If you haven’t tried Glamping yet this is the perfect time to give it a go. Summer 2020 is a memorable one for all the wrong reasons with the dreadful Covid 19. You don’t have to miss out on your summer break, especially this summer as the weather has been so very kind to us so far!
Glamping comes in all shapes, sizes and budgets and facilities can vary. Some offer simple canvas belle tents perfect for warmer months, others have large, fully insulated Mongolian yurts you could happily live in year round should you be so inclined.
Curling up in the cosy round space, the word cocooning springs to mind, but in a lovely, candlelit, sheepskin rug, cosy knitted blanket kind of way!
From pods to treehouses to gypsy wagons to bubble domes the imagination isn’t lacking when it comes to glamping options in Ireland today, there is something for everyone and something new to try again and again.
Teapot Lane, one of Irelands very first Glamping sites opened in 2010. The dream of turning a lovely woodland site into a wilderness retreat for Glampers became a reality. Opened on a budget it became an instant success, the facilities have grown year on year expanding to provide a wonderful experience and adding new exciting accommodation for guests to come back and try.
Four Mongolian yurts are scattered onsite, they are beautiful, made in Mongolia and hand painted, horse hair rope with rawhide lashings they are really organic and authentic. They offer privacy and seclusion and they are warm enough to stay in year round even in the harshest weather.
Teapot Lane have a very cute cottage too, it helps to coax reluctant Glampers to join the group with the promise of 4 walls and an ensuite!
A Treehouse is the star of the place it sleeps 2 adults only and is a grown ups retreat. Lovely and cosy with a pot belly stove and little kitchenette. The tree house has its own facilities including a deck and a rustic shower that opens up to the woods. It is a romantic and deeply relaxing space, a truly unique couples hideaway!
A large woodland shelter with a living roof and a tree growing up through it provides lots of seating and shelter and a place to eat and socialise in all weathers. Two BYOB bars means you can play landlady or landlord and serve up your favourite drinks in style. Heated and lit up with ambient light that creates a magical space to enjoy at night.
The campfire area is adjacent and offers an opportunity to toast your toes and marshmallows and enjoy a cold beer or hot chocolate.
Teapot Lane Glamping is for private venue hire this summer/autumn 2020 for groups of close family and friends to come together and enjoy a social distanced break. This outdoor venue has the perfect space and facilities to suit the current health crisis requirements.
